60 students visited our mosque from Fleecefield School on Wednesday 8th of February. Our staff welcomed the group and gave them a brief overview of the weekly activities of the mosque. Afterwards the students were shown around the mosque before entering the prayer hall. The group had an informative session in the prayer hall about the unique architecture of the mosque, which was followed by a presentation by one of our volunteers regarding the basics of the Islamic faith as part of religious education. This included a performance of the call to prayer, of the demonstration of the ablution and observation of the five daily prayers. The presentation ended with a Q&A session. Thereafter the group was offered snacks and were given feedback forms.
